Hey everyone!!! Yes, I'm still here:) How is everyone? I have missed the blogging world so much!!! Now I'm not making any promises that I'll be back posting everyday but I am definitely happy to be crafting again:) We are coming to the end of spring break and we have had a great week! It went by so fast! Tomorrow I will take my youngest daughter to Disney Princess on Ice, she is so excited!! Really looking forward to that, should be a great way to end the week.

I absolutely love the Greeting Farm and I thought this Edward stamp was too cute! My daughter and I enjoy the Twilight series, I like Edward and I think she is more of a Jacob fan:) Anyway, I am happy to be making a post after a very long break and hope to keep posting and be back visiting all of my favorite blogs again!

Hey everyone! I know it's been a while again, now that the cold weather is here I think I am going to have more time so I'm excited about that! Missed everyone and I am dying to get some cards done!! So here is my first one this year, a little out of practice it's been so long since I have touched my Cricut. So I pulled out my Basic Grey stash of the new Eskimo Kisses Collection and decided to use one of my new Christmas Angel paper piecings from My Scrap Chick, isn't she cute!

Puppy Love Layout ~ Basic Grey June Bug Collection

Morning everyone! Wow it's been crazy trying to find time to craft, I finally did a layout late last night. A simple layout but at least I got something accomplished! The kids have been sick off and on for weeks and then we got this beautiful new bundle of joy!! This is our new fur baby Gibson!!! He's 12 weeks old and so fun! He's a Malshi a Shitzu Maltese X. The kids love him and we have been having tons of fun with him:) We wanted a small dog and the kids like it because he's just the right size for them to play with and cuddle. Sorry the pic is a little dark. I know the paper is a little crazy it's Basic Grey June Bug collection, most of you know how much I love the BG papers! The paper is a little crazy just like our puppy! Here is what I used for this project:

Hey hey!! How is everyone today? We decided to stay home this weekend to get some stuff accomplished I was happy actually because I was determined to get some scrappin done:) I feel so out of practice, I haven't done a layout in forever! I had this paper left over from the last post I did the fall harvest card and envie I did and I loved it so much I wanted to use up the rest right away. This is a picture of me and the kids last year Fall 08 on a hike at a beautiful place we love to go. My husband looked at the layout and was like "Family Time" where am I? Well he's taking the picture....now I feel bad!! He's like can't you just cut my face out of another picture and glue it on there somewhere...lol!! What a guy! Anyway, my plan is try to get downstairs today and do one more project before the weekend is over but we shall see, things have been so busy.

Hey everybody!! I'm still alive:) I have missed crafting and blogging but I have to say it's been a really great summer with my family! I am still going to be going away for the next few weekends, probably into October anyway but things are starting to get back on track and I should start to have more time for my favourite hobby!! Hope you all had a great summer. My son just started JK today so that was exciting, his little sister isn't sure she likes him being gone but I'm sure she will get over it soon. My oldest daughter started grade 8 this year, one more year and high school for her! Anyway, here is my creation for the Chirper Challenge this week. Jackie has asked us to make a custom envelope for a card or put one on a layout. Also to use Fall and Fall colors for inspiration. Go check out the Chirper Challenge and play along by linking your take on the challenge!! I decided to use my new A Child's Year cartridge for this one. I have wanted to use it all summer and just didn't get a chance, what a great cartridge!! If you don't have it I highly recommend it:)

Chirper Challenge #20 ~ Ariel Birthday Girl Card using Design Studio

Hey everyone!! How you all doing? I was playing around with Design Studio the other night and this is what I came up with for a card. I thought it would be good for this weeks challenge over at the Chirper Challenge. Jackie asked us to create a shaped card or layout. I'm enjoying learning Design Studio it's lots of fun! This card is a little larger than I wanted but I figure that's ok for a child's card. Head on over to the Chirper challenge to get tons of inspiration from our awesome designers!! Hey everybody!! I just bought Design Studio this week and wanted to play around today:) This is my first time using it and I made this card for my wonderful Dad! I think it's o.k., what do you think? Good morning! It's been raining here for the past couple days, so dark but good for the grass! I am getting some house work done and I found some time last night to make this card for my Dad! Goodmorning all! How's everyone? Hope all is well with all of you:) I have just been so busy! Enjoying lots of time with my kids and family so that's good. This week over at the Chirper Challenge we were asked to create a layout or card with a black background, bright colored cardstock, no patterned paper, doodling with white or black pen, this sketch from Beth over at Treasured Scrapbooking and of course our Cricut! The designers blew me away this week because it was a tough challenge and they did an awesome job! Wow! It was a challenge for me for sure...no patterned paper???? That was tough! Goodmorning! Happy Friday! :) I was in the mood last night to scrap the problem was I got down to my room way to late and stayed up way to late so I am not that happy with how this layout turned out but anyway, I wanted to do one about my youngest daughter that just turned 2 on Tuesday! The pics in the layout were taken the day we came home from the hospital with her and my husband was cuddling her on the porch, it was a beautiful day in June:) My husband always calls her "little one" so I thought that should be the title. I think if I wasn't so tired when I did this one I would have added more details but oh well, good excuse to make another one later;) The pics below are from her birthday this past Tuesday, she had a wonderful day, I can't believe how much she has grown up in the past 2 years. She is still my clingy baby though, she loves to be close to her mom all the time. It's o.k. I'm going to enjoy it now because I'm sure it won't be long before that's gone. Here is my layout for the Chirper Challenge this week. Jackie and her adorable boys had us create something with wheels and the colors red and green but nothing Christmas. I thought to myself that it would be the perfect chance to use my Cars cartridge!! Sun~Sational Boy Layout~Chirper Challenge #15

Hey everyone, I'm sorry no post for a while, I just got back from being away for the long weekend. We went to a trailer in Grand Bend for 4 days, we had a blast! The kids loved every moment of it and I know they want to go back very soon. It sure beats tenting, we have stayed in cottages a few times but I enjoyed the trailer it was different and fun and met lots of really nice people. It's great to be oustside so much after being cooped up all winter:) I didn't get very many great pics because I was chasing the kids the whole time, I just never had many chances to stop and take photos but here's one of our camp fire that my oldest daughter that's 12 was proud that she made on her own!

My sweet husband bought me a dozen red roses and has been preparing dinner for all of us and my parents tonight. He's going to BBQ a bunch of stuff over at my parents and were just gonna have a nice visit, so looking forward to that! I am so lucky to have my guy, I think I'll keep him ;)

Layout & Card with Life's A Beach Cricut Cartridge and Cosmo Cricket ~ Snorkel line

Hey all! Sorry I haven't posted in almost a week, my little ones became very sick and I actually got worse before I got better. I finally went to the doctor and found out I had an out of control sinus infection and spasmed muscles in my neck from coughing so much....yuck! I couldn't move my neck for a few days so kinda hard to scrap. I felt gross all week but starting to get better now:) The kids are also getting better, although still kinda cranky! Oh well, it shall soon pass!!

So on to my post, this is a layout I did of my son last summer in my parents pool. He was 2 last year and he still was jumping off the diving board! He loves the water so much I think this summer will be even more fun. He would stay in that pool all day and night if we let him. These were a few left over pics from another page I did a while ago and wanted to use them. I love this line from Cosmo Cricket it's really fun! I'm not sure if the layout is exactly what I wanted but considering I even had time to do it with the chaos around here is amazing really. Here's what I used:

This card was inspired by Amy over at Prairie Paper & Ink she' does amazing work and I'm a huge fan! I was looking at the paper left from the Cosmo Cricket line and remembered a card she made with a stamped Bella mermaid and paper from the same line and I loved it so much I decided to make one but with the die cut mermaid from Life's A Beach instead of a stamp. Here is what I used:

Hey guys! So this is my first project as a designer for the Chirper Challenge! We had to make a card with the sketch above and use black stitching and of course our Cricut machine! Hi everybody! Sorry I haven't posted anything crafty for a couple days, I'm still not feeling well and I just have had no energy. I will try to get something done tonight or tomorrow. I have received a few more awards from some of my sweet blogging friends. I received the Makes my heart smile award from Deanne over at Just Wasting Time and Jamers over at Scrapbooking our Memories. I want to say thanks so much ladies for thinking of me and for your kind words:) I also received the Friends award from my good blogging friend Michelle over at BCR8IV. Good morning! I feel even worse today, I think I might have a sinus throat infection happening...I hate going to the doctor but I might have to, don't feel like I'm getting better. After the kids went to bed last night I had this idea and really wanted to do it. Surprisingly I think it came out o.k. considering;) This is my hubby and I on our wedding day in 2004 stopping for a little romantic kiss during our wedding photos. Hi all! Hope that you all had a fabulous Easter weekend with your family and friends, we had a great one:) The kids loved searching for eggs and loved eating all the yummy treats they got from the Easter Bunny! We spent a ton of time outside playing because the weather was pretty nice. We had a yummy turkey dinner with my parents, grandma & brother and sister yesterday, that was really nice!

So I made a quick card today, only a little Cricut for this one. I really like the colors together. Hope you all like it too:) Here's what I used:

I decided to make a quick card today, I wanted try my new cartridge but didn't have time to do a full layout so I made this card. I was at Michael's the other day and they had all the stamps on sale so I grabbed this one and a few others. I'm not the best with coloring the stamps, I need lots of practice but I still enjoy it and I admire so many of you that do it so well. I love to learn all kinds of techniques and try them all:) Anyway, I hope your all having a great weekend so far, today has been kind of a relaxation day for me, my awesome husband has been helping out lots today. He let me sleep in and he has spent much of the day outside with the kids. I can't complain one bit...he's a great guy! Oh, and the inside of the card says "Enjoy it!" Good morning! So the other day I was sitting and playing with Inkscape and I wanted to make my own baby chick for Easter...this is what I came up with, what do you think? Then I thought this page needed a bunny so I made this one peeking down on the chicks searching for eggs. Even the little carrot:) I tried to take several pics this morning but just wasn't getting the settings right and the colors seem off a bit so I'm gonna just post one pic for now. Hey everyone! I can't believe it but it's snowing here today! Yesterday the kids were out in sweaters playing and today it's like winter again! I know it won't last but I'm so tired of the dark wet days. Hope you all had a great weekend, mine was not very productive, I tried but still fighting this tired thing. I got a little bit of spring cleaning/organizing done. So last night I went down and made a quick Easter card. I haven't made a card in a while and I felt like doing one so here it is. I like to try to incorporate Cricut cuts as much as I can. Good morning! How's everyone? I don't know what it is but I have been so tired lately! Maybe the change of the seasons or something. Although it feels great that spring is here! What a long cold winter we had. So I decided that even though I purchased a bunch of paper piecing files for bears and other animals to cut with SCAL that I wanted to design my own...a little more personal. I will still use all those other cut files but I am happy that I was able to create these bears on my first try. I think they turned out o.k. I am going to make a few different types and see what ones I like the best:) Originally when I started this layout it was going to be a spring layout and the bears were going to be plain. As I looked at the paper it reminded me of my youngest daughter playing the other day with her dress up fairy wings on and her wand in hand. I was going to use those pics but i decided that I'm gonna wait until a warm day and get her wearing them outside I think it will make for nicer pics!! Anyway, here is my layout sorry some of the pics are dark and I think they are not that straight but anyhow, here is a list of what I used for this layout:

Problems with Feedburner...

Good morning all! Last night when I went to bed I had 94 feed burner readers (e-mail readers) Today when I came onto my blog I have 4. Not sure if there is a problem with the system and it will come back but if your not getting my updates please subscribe again. I am also going to post another box f if you'd like to subscribe to it as well in case this happens again I can send all my subscribers and e-mail. Hey everyone! I have been so tired and busy lately not much time to make anything :( I like to try to have time everyday or every other day but sometimes it just gets crazy busy and I can't. So I felt like making some St. Patrick's Day cards. I know it's tomorrow, talk about last minute. Anyway, here is what I used for the bear card:

Hi! So today I made this quick card with my new BG paper. This card is a little different for me, I think it's because of the paper, I love Basic Grey papers but this collection is a little different then what I usually go for. I did this layout a few days ago but it's been so dark and rainy that I wasn't able to get a decent picture. Even today it's dark so I think I'm going to take more pics tomorrow. I wanted to post it because it's just been sitting on my table. I really like this new line from Bo Bunny! I hope you like it, here is a list of supplies I used:

Morning all! I finally did a layout! I have been quite busy the past several days and it was driving me crazzzzy cause I wanted to make something! Last night I went down and watched the final Bachelor (I can't believe that guy!!!) and made this layout. I just bought SCAL, I was debating about it for a while. Quite happy with my purchase! It's amazing all the free fonts that you can get and more! Looking forward to playing around with it lots more! I am happy with how this page turned out, the picture of is my Chelsea I like because it's shows her bright blue eyes. It's absolutely freezing here today but I was determined to get a picture that wasn't so dark so I went out on the porch and took these...by the look, it looks like spring...brrrrrrr!

Hello everybody! Hope you all are having a great day! I started this layout last night and stayed up until 1:30, today I am pretty tired, the kids are up very early at our house!! Anyway, I am not completely happy with these pics because they really don't show the sparkle and shimmer that this page has but here they are! I made this layout for my youngest daughter Chelsea, she is 21 months old and she loves to dress up and be pretty so I'm sure I'll have pics to put on this layout very soon, I will update with a pic when I do. Good afternoon! I did this layout of my son being his cute little self! He always knows how to put on charm when he wants something...like most kids! He gives the cutest little faces and says the most adorable things, he just melts my heart! At 3 years old he is quite the character!

Anyway, I really like the bright bold colors and I love the My Minds Eye papers just as much maybe even more than the Basic Grey papers...they're just awesome! Here is what I used:

Good morning everyone!

I didn't post for a few days because I was feeling sick on the weekend and last night was to first time I went down to use my new room. It was nice to get back at it. My wonderful sister Holly let me borrow her Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge because it's one that I don't have yet, surprisingly because it's a great cartridge! I decided to make this with the popcorn box cut on the cartridge, I think it turned out pretty cute! I also think I have a little girl in mind that I will be giving it to, hope she likes it! Today was an exciting day!! Just wanted to share some news!

No card or layout to post today but some fun news that I was excited about!! My sweet Cheeks layout 2 posts down was selected by Basic Grey to be in their online gallery!! This is the second time they have chosen my layout and I'm very excited and flattered that they liked it and wanted it on their site! Click here to check it out!!!

Also my oldest daughter recently decided to move her room from the basement back upstairs, she said it was to cold. So a small empty room came available in the basement......and guess who has her own scrapbooking room now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy!! My sweet husband Chris went out and bought me a 6 foot craft table, shelving, and a paper storage rack! We set it all up today and I love it!! I will be doing more to it but it's definitely a step up from the dining room table that I was using for that past few years now. I was running out of places to stash all my stuff. It's a pretty small room but on the other side I set up an area for the little ones to do crafts and play with some toys. I think I will be putting something up to hold all my ribbon, I have a big box of it! Also some more shelves on the other side. I just used baskets and things that were already in the house for storage for now and it worked out just fine. I feel so lucky to have this space just for me and I can't thank my husband enough because he was going to take that room for his office but he thought I should have it! He's the best...I love you Chris!

Anyway, I just wanted to share my happy news and my little corner in the basement that I love with all of you!

So I thought I'd add this today to this post, I was so excited last night to go down to my new room and make something, well I got down there around 10:30 and had a brain freeze for some crazy reason, I was pretty tired after a long day with the kids and moving into my new room. This card is what I made, I think it's kinda plain but I was just so tired so I went to bed around 11:30 and watched about 30min of Greys Anatomy that I had on the PVR and fell asleep! Hopefully this weekend I will get down there and have some fun! Anyway, have a great day!

Disney Pixar Cars Layout for my sweet boy!

Hi everyone! I finally did a layout! I haven't done one since November...that's a long time because I love to do them. I just got so into the cards and stuff over the holidays and didn't really have time. O.K. so this one is very simple, I feel like I had a hard time getting back into it. I got the Cars cartridge for Christmas and my son has been asking me to please make a page with it, so here is my first attempt. So don't laugh but I thought I broke my sewing machine the other day, as I said before it wasn't really working out for me but yesterday my wonderful mom helped me figure it out and turns out i only broke the needle. This is only the second time since middle school that I have used a sewing machine so I think it's gonna take some practice!! lol! Anyway, here is what I used:

Today is my mom's birthday! Happy Birthday Mom, I love you! This is a card and matching envelope I made for her. She loves animal print stuff so I had to make her a card like that. This was the only paper that I could find that came close it's Basic Grey's Granola collection. I thought the flower and the ribbon dressed it up. She really liked it anyway! Here is what I used:

Wild card Cricut Cartridge for the present card cut at 7", the envelope cut one size bigger at 7 1/4" just so the card wouldn't be crammed in the envelope with the added flower and ribbon etc. the tag and the "for you" are also Wild Card
Storybook for the "MOM" and the marquee on the envelope front I think I cut mom at 1 1/2" and the marquee at 2 1/2"

New Blog Design!

Last week I came across Aqua Poppy Designs on the web and fell in love with the free backgrounds that were available. I have been wanting to change my blog but only know a little about creating these backgrounds and headers in Photoshop and haven't really had time to figure it out completely ( I spend my free time crafting instead of course!) so I contacted Chelsea over at Aqua Poppy Designs and she created this web design for me...I just love the yummy colors and the cute design!! I think she did a fabulous job she is really good at what she does! Thanks so much Chelsea! Good afternoon! I made this card today while the little one were sleeping and my husband and older daughter were out snowboarding. I kinda like quiet afternoons! I have not had much time to play with this Wild Card cartridge yet and I forgot that it's best to make your envelope first! I cut this (Porthole) card at 6 1/2" and then tried to make the matching envie and it wouldn't fit on the page, this is with the Expression. The max. size you can cut this card is 5 1/2" in order to get the matching envie. So I still liked how this card turned out so I'm posting it anyway, just have to remember to do the envie first next time!

Anyway I had fun trying it and I think after I work at it a bit it will be an even more fun element to add to my cards and pages!! Thanks Mom and Dad!! Hello Everyone!

I hope that all of you had a great Christmas! I also hope that all of you got all the crafting goodies you were hoping for from Santa!! Here is a picture of me with our three children, our son was not very happy about getting his photo taken as you can see, too many other things to do! lol! I think it's still a cute photo. It's so hard to get a picture with all of us because the little ones just won't stay still long enough!

We had a wonderful Christmas, the kids had a blast and of course got everything they wished for and then some! Santa was very good to me as well, I got a brand new sewing machine from my parents (for scrapbooking and cardmaking of course), I got a few new Cricut cartridges and an awesome zoom lens from my wonderful husband for my birthday that was a few days before Christmas for my Nikon camera! Now I just need some time and energy to use all my new toys!

I can't believe how fast Christmas came and went! I should be getting back into things soon and have something new to post.

I'm really loving this Wild Card cartridge! The only problem is that you need to stock up on the matching paper, I don't seem to have enough to make the matching envie as well. I really like the non traditional colors for this one, I like this cut on the cartridge, one of my favs. Today we are having a snow storm, school was cancelled so perfect to to stay in and make a few more Christmas cards! Many of the very talented ladies have been making these trees over on the Cricut MB I bought this punch a while ago and wanted to try one as well. Thanks to all that made one for the inspiration! I wanted this to be a simple card just because the tree is the main focus. I think it turned out o.k. but I may even make another to see if I can improve it. Here is what I used:

I had fun with this card! I usually color my stamps with Tombow markers and pencil crayons but I wanted to try the pencils with the Gamsol for blending this time. I went to find Gamsol and was unable to find any. I've heard that some people have used Goo Gone instead so that's what I used and it turned out o.k. I think. It was pretty simple too! This is not the greatest picture but here it is! This is what I used:

I did this layout for my 17 month old daughter, I made the page in advance because I had the idea and didn't want to forget. Look how cute this cover is for the Tink cartridge! These characters are so adorable! Here are some pics of the front and back of the cartridge.

Couldn't wait to try one of the cuts, here is a picture of Tink # 5 on the cartridge. I think she turned out pretty good. The glitter is still wet, but couldn't wait to take a picture of her! She is cut at 8" on the Expression, I think it's much easier the bigger you go. Smaller cuts could be more difficult. Not sure if I will use her for a layout or to put on my daughter wall.
